Access to the full continuum of behavioral health care — prevention, early intervention, treatment, and recovery support — is critical to advancing the health of people at risk for or living with behavioral health conditions. However, many people in the Commonwealth are not able to access the mental health and substance use disorder services they need when they need them. For those that do access care there can be problems with getting affordable, culturally and linguistically competent, or evidence-based care.
We work collaboratively to raise awareness, address barriers, and further policy and programmatic solutions to increase access to behavioral health care. We envision a day when all Massachusetts residents have the support and services they need to protect and advance their overall health.
